Technical Audits & Consulting
We audit your software, architecture, and security to surface the risks, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities hiding in your systems — and hand you a prioritised, plain-English plan to act on.
When software is slow, fragile, insecure, or expensive to change, the symptoms are obvious but the cause rarely is. Teams end up guessing — rewriting the wrong thing, buying tools they do not need, or living with risk they cannot see. Decisions get made on opinion instead of evidence.
A Nova X technical audit replaces guesswork with a clear picture. We examine your systems the way an engineer who will have to live with them would, then tell you plainly what is healthy, what is at risk, and what to do about it — ranked by impact, so you spend where it actually matters.
What we audit
We assess the dimensions that determine whether software is an asset or a liability: code quality and maintainability; system architecture and how components fit together; security posture and exposure; performance and scalability under real load; infrastructure and cost; and the integration points where systems meet and most failures hide.
We also look for opportunity, not just risk — the manual processes that could be automated and the places where a small change would unlock disproportionate gains.
What you walk away with
You get a clear audit report written to be understood by decision-makers, not just engineers. It lays out findings by severity, explains the business impact of each in plain language, and gives a prioritised, sequenced action plan — what to fix now, what to plan for, and what to leave alone.
Where helpful, we provide a realistic cost and effort estimate for the recommended work, so you can budget and decide with confidence. You are free to act on it with your own team, another vendor, or us — the audit stands on its own.

Frequently asked questions
We did not build the software — can you still audit it?
Yes. Auditing systems we did not build is the norm. We work from your codebase, infrastructure, and a few conversations with your team to assess what you have, regardless of who built it.
How long does an audit take?
A focused audit of a specific system typically takes one to three weeks depending on size and access. A broader review across multiple systems takes longer. We scope it up front so you know the timeline and cost before we begin.
Are we obligated to have you do the fixes?
No. The audit is a standalone deliverable. You can act on it with your own team, a third party, or us. We would rather earn the follow-on work by giving you a genuinely useful assessment.
What do we receive at the end?
A written report with findings ranked by severity, the business impact of each in plain language, and a prioritised action plan — plus effort and cost estimates for the recommended work where relevant.
It should work quietly, intelligently, and together."
